1. General Questions
1.1 What is generally the size of a tour group?
Generally, the number of guest traveling varies depending on the destination and occasion planned. Starting from 2-3 to average group size 10-12 and big group size will be between 30 to 50
1.2 Will it be possible to extend my stay at a destination?
Sure, you can extend your stay provided you inform us of such extension at the time of your booking. Additional charges will be applicable. No extensions/alterations can be done when the tour is in progress.
1.3 Is the tour itinerary susceptible to last minute changes, as we need to plan our leaves & make necessary arrangements accordingly?
We do not change the itinerary nor date of the tour, however in case of force majeure events; circumstances force us to change the routing or date of the tour, as the case may be, just for your safety.
1.4 Can I incorporate any changes in my travel plan once the booking is done?
Yes, you can modify your booking or travel plan. There may be certain charges for modifications or for cancelling the old booking and making new arrangements. The staff at our offices will assist you for the same.
1.5 Is there any refund against cancellation?
Cancellation of tour will attract certain cancellation charges. Our officestaff will give you the details about such cancellation at the time of booking or for more information on cancellation charges.
1.6 Do you provide Leave Travel Certificate?
We do provide the Leave Travel Certificate, subject to your intimation to us about your requirement at the time of booking the tour itself.
1.7 What is an e-ticket?
An e-ticket is a paperless electronic document with a unique confirmation number that neatly replaces the hassles of a paper ticket. You may request a copy to be sent to your e-mail id, in case of International tours - if & when you require e-tickets for buying Forex, for VISA formalities.
2. Tour Price & Discount
2.1 What does the Indian tour price include?
The tour price generally is exclusive of your accommodation, all meals, sightseeing, entrance charges, Guide Services, etc
2.2 Can I avail any early booking benefit?
Yes, you get an advance-booking discount for all tours on paying full registration amount at the time of booking. Discounts are slab wise and are given on first cum first serve basis. They are valid for limited seats, limited period, and limited tours and vary depending on the tour and region, so book early and save thousands.
2.3 What benefits can Repeat Travelers and Senior Citizens expect ?
Madhu Tours & Travels does have repeat guest and senior citizen discounts and it varies as per the tour. The travel consultant will provide the details when you book the tour.
2.4 What are the benefits of group bookings?
Yes, you are eligible for group discount if you book for a group of more than 8 guests on the same day.
2.5 What is the difference between Child and Infant?
Infant is any guest who is below 2 years of age whereas child is guest who is or above 2 years of age and below 12 years of age.
3. On Tour
3.1 What are the modes of travel on tour?
The modes of travel depend upon the tour, which you book. Generally, we travel by Bus, Taxi/ Cab/ Car, etc. as mentioned in the itinerary. For more information, refer respective tour itinerary page on the website.
3.2 Are there any night journeys on tour?
Yes as per the requirement, we can take night journeys, but we normally avoid night journeys on tour as far as possible.
3.3 How hectic is the pace of the tours?
We have a wide range of products, whichare designed as leisurely paced to medium paced to fast. Most of the tours are medium to fast pace as we cover maximum must see sightseeing; we do not have optional sight-seeing.
3.4 Do we have to walk a lot on tours?
Generally, we have to walk at sightseeing places, amusement parks and at the airports sometimes for a long distance, however the same will be timely instructed by the Tour Leader.
3.5 Do we have to wake up early on tours?
The schedule may change as per the tour and number of places to be visited.
3.6 Do we get wake-up calls on tours?
Yes, you do get telephonic wakeup call through the driver, however it is advisable to have your mobile alarms set to be on the safer side.
3.7 What assistance is givento a disabled person or a senior citizen, who needs special assistance on tour?
A qualified companion must accompany the guest who needs such special assistance as individual assistance cannot be given to such guest by the Guide considering he has to manage the entire group.
3.8 Can I take a wheelchair on tour? Will it be difficult while visiting places?
Yes, you can bring your own wheel chair and move at most of the sightseeing places but a qualified companion must accompany guest who are traveling on wheelchair.
3.9 Will I get drinking water during sightseeing?
Madhu Tours & Travels provides the same be mentioned in the respective tour itinerary page on the website.
3.10 At a particular destination, can my relative join me on the tour?
Yes, your relative is always welcome. S/he can join us on tour subject to your intimation to us at the time of your booking and payment of prescribed charges to make him / her eligible to join our tour and avail our services on tour.
3.11 Will you recommend me where to shop on a tour?
Our Driver/ Guide will provide information about the shopping areas on tour;however, s/he will not suggest/recommend / promote any particular shop, area etc. to you.
3.12 Can I use my credit card for shopping / personal expense while on an International tour?
Yes, you can accepted Credit Cards for shopping and personal expenses but kindly crosscheck with your Bank before effecting any transaction. We are not responsible/liable for any loss, fraud, damage, cheating etc., if any, occurs in such cases.
3.13 What assistance is provided, if I dis-continue the scheduled tour, because of illness?
If you fall sick on tour, kindly inform the Tour Coordinator/ Guide immediately. The Tour Coordinator will assist you in making all arrangements for the medical aid, doctor on call etc. However, the expenses will have to be borne by you. Here, Insurance plays a major role hence we highly recommend that you should get yourself and your family insured adequately before travel.
3.14 Can I get medicine on a Tour?
We highly recommend you to carry sufficient medicines along with you on tour. While packing, distribute them evenly in different bags to ensure that you have some medicine with you in case there is any delay in getting baggage or loss. However, you do get medicines on tour but your doctor’s prescription for the same is necessary.
4.1 After paying once, will I get refund of the tour cost?
In case of cancellation of your tour by us, you will get the refund of actual amount paid by you. However, if you cancel the tour, the cancellation charges will be applicable as per the below mentioned cancellation policy:-
4.2 Can I transfer my Refund amount to any other tour or to my friends or relatives tour?
Yes, your refund amount is transferable to your other tour. In case, if you want your refund amount to be transferred to that your friends or relatives tour, we will need a duly signed Authority Letter from you.
4.3 Is my refund amount adjustable against any part - cancellation?
No, the refund amount is not adjustable against part cancellation.
4.4 How much time does it usually take to process a refund?
Ideally, it takes 7-8 working days to process refunds, once the guest agrees on refund amount.
4.5 What is be the mode of payment in case of refund?
Ideally, the refund amount is credited using the same mode of payment that you had used to book the tour, the only exception in this case is if you had used Cash/Demand Draft in such case, the mode of payment for refund will be 'Account Payee' Cheque only. In case of Credit Card, the transaction would be reversed accordingly, considering the bank charges/Service charges on Credit Card payments, which is non-refundable.
4.6 Are online refunds possible, if yes, what is the process and who will bear the transaction cost?
Yes, online refunds are possible, if the booking was done online. If we cancels the tour for whatsoever reason, then the entire tour cost will be refunded
5.1 Do I need a passport to travel?
Passport is only mandatory for any international traveler. Indian travelers need to have any valid Driving License/ Voter Card/ Adhar Card.
5.2 If I do not have a passport, will Madhu Tours & Travels assist for the same?
If you do not have a passport, you can apply for the same online on www.passportindia.gov.in if you are an Indian National, however for foreign nationals Madhu Tours & Travelscannot assist for the same.
6 Tour Leader / Guide
6.1 Does the Tour Leader/ Guide assist us on the entire tour?
In case of group tours booked with Bus/ Mini-Bus, the tour leader/ guide will assist you throughout the tour. However, they are not responsible for baggage or any kind of personal belongings.
6.2 In which language will the Tour Leader/ Guide communicate with us on tour?
The Tour Leader/ Guide will preferably communicate or give instructions on tour in Hindi and English.
6.3 Generally, how many Tour Leaders are allotted to a group tour?
For Tours, we have one Tour Leader/ Guide for the entire group (more than 20 guests)
7 Booking Payment
7.1 How can I book a tour?
You can book your tour at Madhu Tours & Travel Office and alsocan book their tour online.
7.2 Do I need to pay the entire tour price lump-sum while booking?
If you pay the tour price at one go 15 days prior departure then you are benefited as you get full payment discount. It is not mandatory though, you can pay the registration amount to book and pay the balance payment later.
7.3 If I am an NRI, can I book your regular Indian tour?
Yes NRI's can book at Madhu tours & Travels. Kindly refer the Tour Price section of respective tour itinerary page on the website.
7.4 Can my son/daughter residing abroad sponsor my tour by paying in their currency? If yes, then how?
Yes, they can pay the same thru online but only in Indian currency. Any transaction charges levied by the bank will be borne by you / your son / daughter.
8 Post Booking
8.1 Prior to tour departure is there any information provided?
We do give pre-departure information sheet once you book a tour, which consists information about the destination, things to carry, weather, shopping etc.
8.2 Do we get any confirmation call of our scheduled departure?
Yes, 2 to 3 days prior to your scheduled departure we give a call to inform the reporting time and place.
9 Travel Arrangement
9. 1 Can Madhu Tours & Travels book our journey tickets for tours.
Indian tour price does not include air or railway tickets. In case, you wish to travel by Rail, Air & Bus the can booked by us. The same will be included in your bill.
9.2 Will Madhu Tours & Travels assist for one-way journey tickets?
Madhu Tours & Travels will assist you with one-way tickets for regular tours.
9.3 Do I need to carry any ID proof while traveling?
Yes, all tourists traveling have to carry photo identification proof in the form of driving license, election ID card, PAN card, passport and for students their school / college ID card. In addition, at certain sightseeing places in India any Identity proof (except PAN card) is necessary which is mentioned on the respective tour itinerary page on our website
